Prior to receiving his Ph.D.(1997), Chanan Goldschmidt completed his B.Sc. in Mathematics and Psychology (1990) and his MA in Psychology (cum laude) at the Hebrew University (1992). He also received a Teaching Diploma from the Educational Department at the Hebrew University (1990). During his Ph.D. studies he decided to focus on Decision-Making and Psychology & Law, and studied Law at the Hebrew U. He received his LL.B. in Law from Hebrew U. during the year 1994. He has been faculty member at IDC (Interdisciplinary center Herzeliya) between the years 1997-2002 and lecturer at Hebrew University since 1996. Before 1997, Chanan Goldschmidt was Director of Test Development Department at the National Institute of Testing and Evaluation (N.I.T.E.). N.I.T.E. is responsible for constructing and administering the Psychometric Entrance Test (PET), as well as other exams used by universities in Israel for purposes of selection and placement of candidates. Chanan Goldschmidt`s areas of research are now alternative dispute resolution, negotiation and decision making in the field of Psychology & Law.
